Business Language Courses
UTTA offers short language courses to provide employees going to a post overseas with survival or enhanced language skills in the local language - we currently offer French and Spanish. These courses are specifically designed to give confidence in speaking and managing situations, making good cultural relations, and "making the right noises".

This is a fun and enjoyable introduction - role-play is a large part of the course, which will also include music, video clips and humour. If your role in the country is a specific one, we will build relevant and useful vocabulary into the last few lessons.
This course can be run at A1 and A2/B1 levels. Higher levels cover more by way of negotiating skills and specific workplace vocabulary and lexis. Other levels are available if different formats, please check out the information at this link or contact us.

Business French
The Business French Course is flexible to student needs - you can opt from a series of topics including:

The French short course again can run at a variety of levels including A1, A2, B1, B2
If you're intending to spend some time in France, particularly for work, the UTTA French course can help you focus on your existing level of French and increase your fluency and accuracy. You can monitor your progress using online CEFR checks. As you move towards the upper levels, you can select more specific topics related to your work, current events or commerce, although most topics can be taken at a variety of levels.
Although French culture is closer to our own than some others, there are ways in which the French, as a nation rooted more closely in agriculture, are a world apart from the British, and if your work involves business and social relationships with your colleagues bosses or employees you may want to familiarise yourself with aspects of the culture such as art, film or music, to get more of a feel for those areas of difference - and also to help bridge the gap at critical moments.
